Jared Kushner: Secretary of Everything?!

Jared Kushner is regularly referred to as the “secretary of everything”. He is given such responsibilities as creating peace in the Middle East, reforming the entire federal government, managing the opioid crisis, criminal justice reforming and liaison to china, mexico and the muslim community, among others. Trump speaks at the Campaign Donors Dinner saying “I have a feeling that Jared is going to do a great job. He is so great, if he can’t produce peace in the Middle East, nobody can.” He is the first contact for over 24 countries and seems to be invited to every important meeting involving foreign diplomats. He has been described as quiet, thoughtful and the Alexander Hamilton of the Trump Administration.  Since he doesn’t speak, we rely on others to testify to his brilliance. On many occasions the one piece of evidence we have towards his credentials is that he went to Harvard. Now, many genius people went to Harvard, but that doesn’t mean everyone that attends is Einstein. He attended Frisch high school where officials said they were dismayed he got into Harvard because his GPA and SAT scores were not to Harvard’s standards. His acceptance may have had more to do with the $2.5 million his father donated to the school right before he was accepted. Another reason he seems qualified for these jobs is that he allegedly got Trump elected. Forbes explained how he did it, getting people on social media and creating a database to sift through and use it to create his schedule, his rallies and the content of his rallies. While this sounds brilliant, Trump isn’t exactly known for having great content. He once spoke about how great graphs were, he called Obama and Hillary the founders of ISIS and promised he would never be in a bicycle race. Thanks for the reassurance Trump. Jared is definitely not qualified for all the responsibilities put on him but it is not his fault. He didn’t appoint himself, Trump did. If he needs his under qualified son in law to do almost everything he should be doing, he can not possibly be prepared for the role of president.
